The SA Venturer Jelly Wrestling Competition is nearly upon us!

And now is the time to prove you are man (or woman) enough for the challenge! Entries into the competition close on September 19 so get them in now!

How? Fill in the form on this page and hit "Throw me in the Jelly Pit!" It's as simple as that!

Don't forget that all competition wrestlers will get a free soft drink included in their $5 entry price, plus the chance to defeat the reigning champions to win the first place trophy!

Rock and Roll all NONT

"Fashion Victims Unit" had a wonderful time at Flash Rovers' Rock and Roll all NONT last night - so much so we didn't reach the finish point until about 4.30am and got back to the Scout hall at 6am!

Pancakes in Public!

Some new photos are up from our night out last night cooking Pancakes in Public - in Rymill Park on the corner of Rundle St and East Tce. Okay, so the cooking itself (on trangias) wasn't all that successful, but we still had fun :)

FVU will be making an appearance at Rock and Roll all NONT next week, and on the June long weekend, we'll be heading up to The Dutchmans Stern near Quorn for some nice hiking with the Dune Raiders (Roxby Downs Venturer Unit).

Last week we played a game of Spaceball against Flash Rovers and now the photos are up in the Gallery.

After such a fantastic turn out last year, Fullarton Venturers is now proud to present the 2nd Annual SA Venturer Jelly Wrestling Competition

It will be Friday, September 14 from 7.30pm - 10.30pm and will be a whole jellypit full of fun!

More details will be released on the Jelly Wrestling page as they become available.

Bigger and better!

You might have noticed that the site suddenly has a new design! This was actually put in motion about a year ago, but was left behind while I did other projects (such as my Queen's Scout). But now it's finally been done!

We still don't have a Gallery - this is also going under the knife and will emerge looking awesome soon, but there's a link to the old gallery if you absolutely need photos. Other than that, most things appear to be in working order by now.

If you do see a legitimate problem, please let me know (trapdoorspider (at) hotmail (dot) com) so I can get to fixing it. Thanks :)

A-Hiking we will go!

Well March is almost over, and April is upon us!
- We've done several "Hike Skillz" nights learning about Navigation, Gear, Cooking etc, and it was a lot of fun
- We've done a Night hike on the Yurrebilla Trail, from Eagle on the Hill to Mitcham Photos in the Gallery!
- We've done a Venturing Skills hike in Mt Crawford, including 5 Scouts who are learning Venturer-level hiking skills ahead of joining the unit later this year. Photos in the Gallery!
- And Easter Venture - The Motion of the Ocean is only a week away!
- ... and two weeks after that, K8eus is having her Expeditions 2 Hike at Mt Arden!

Phew, that's a lot of hiking :)

We also say farewell to two of our members - Tommo & Fleecy - at a Sock Party on April 11. Bye guys, we'll miss you!

The busy-ness of February and March

Hi all - some great new photos of our team at C³ are now up in the Gallery, which was a great way of finishing up the rather busy month of February.

March isn't any quieter - with a whole bunch of things on:
- Night Hike
- Hike Skillz - Lightweight Cooking / Iron Chef 4!
- Unit Management Course
- 6 Hour Metrogaine
- Senior First Aid Course
- Unit Hike (Venturing Skills)
- Preparation for Easter Venture!

I think we'll all be glad for a bit of a break when the holidays roll around in April after EV - but then there's also Kate's Expeditions 2 and Anzac Day to get through during the holidays!
